On August 22nd 2023 a group of members from the luncheon club and a number of volunteers went out for lunch to Hillers Garden Centre. What a fabulous day, the food was excellent and such large portions, everyone enjoyed their meals.
The staff were really efficient, patient and helpful, understanding the needs of people with visual impairment.
After lunch the weather was lovely and we were able to wander around the garden and farm shops and the lovely gardens which they have, with an opportunity to watch birds at close range from the ‘hide out’. We would like to give the Hillers team a really big Thank You.
Transport was by coach provided by Elgar Coaches, and with the coach having a tail lift, meant that members who couldn’t manage the steps onto the coach had an alternative access point, a big thank you to Elgar Coaches and to City Taxis for getting people home once the coach dropped them off at Webheath Village Hall, again thank you.
